Tracking back on the moments [Completed]

Cathy is leaving and she's not coming back for at least a year
It made me wonder a few things
so I asked her

Me " What about your friends?"
Cathy "Ohh, they came over last night and we play mahjong...... *sidetracks*"

I concluded that her way of saying goodbye is have a fun night at her house :S

This somehow made me think about my entire life
like, literally.

And now, I somehow felt like I should type this out..

Aeroplane's in the sky everyday. Mum had me live in my grandma's house. Dad was gone. Walking down the huge stairway, I would always tend to avoid the storeroom. Since I once encountered a grey spider, alot bigger than my hand. Once, I closed the glass slide-door in my Grandparent's room and the whole door ran over my foot. My whole toe nail came off and it probably bled for a long time.

Eating Mcdonalds in Toa Payoh
The very first time I decided to stop using ketchup and eat with Garlic chilli sauce.
Loved the harsh browns every morning and western food at night. Evenings are spend on playgrounds with a shovel in my hand. I once managed to dig so deep, i found water. It was an achievement to me, a big one

6years old, Bedok community kindergarden. I would sing my national anthem with hope, not pride. Hoping that singing that song will give me my long awaited Gameboy COLOUR. 7 years old, same thing, except I believe in staring at the stage light and singing my school song instead.

My friend of concern at 7years old (primary one) was a kid called markus. It was not until primary two that I realised he is retarded. Like seriously, handicapped kind of retarded. Shafiq, My best friend in primary two. I would love to bring my Gameboy classic (the one without colour) and Digivice (Second generation) and match each other. Going to his house everyday. Sometimes, I think he hold his pee for too long and he pees on his pants. I was able to identify the smell of dried pee on him, but I never told him off. We even had a Best friend theme in which we would sing everytime we are going to his house. One time, he had to go to his Grandma's house. While walking there, a dog came by and he ran off. I asked him why he ran off and he told me it is against his religion to get licked by dogs. If so, they have to use mud to wash they legs. I simply nodded in confusion.

Primary three was with a pale skinny guy called Andy and a fat transfer kid from China. They were nice and friendly. the china kid (no offence to china people, I forgot his name) like pick fights with Glenn Tan, the school rebel. and I would always be in between, since I talk to Glenn too. Math at that age was my specialty, no one in my class knew how to divide, except for me. Mum gave me a head start at home, in which made me one step ahead of the rest. The feeling of being smart was so good, so I decided to be ahead of the rest in everything. Everything except for Mother tongue, thats what we call Chinese/Malay/Tamil language back in singapore. I would always run off with Serene, Sebastian, Joanne and Wan Hui to the nearby playground to play. To me at that age. Wan Hui was the prettiest girl around. But the irony to that is, I dont even remember how she looks like now.

The records for primary three
  • A fake recorder fight got three cane strokes on my ass
  • Glue on my teacher's chair

Primary Four came. the China dude went back to china. I went with Glenn, Jun Yuan, Chin Chai and Nicolas. My primary school merged with a neighboring one, and everything changed. I became a rebellious kid. Wan Hui, Sebastian and Serene are people I dont talk to anymore. Chin Chai and Glenn are always around after school. We would own the neighboring playground and claim it as our territory. Any kids around would be beaten up. Like seriously, beaten up. Then came Glenn's friend. He is much older than us, calls himself Geylang. Glenn likes to tell me how he blows a siren everything trouble arrives. And his gang would appear to back him up. It didnt make sense to me as I have never heard of gang fights in Bedok, but ahh, a kid at that age believes in everything.

Mr Alan Mui was my form teacher. And if you wonder what a form teacher is, it is the teacher incharge of a class, take it as a advocate teacher. And dont forget we dont leave our classrooms during different sessions in Singapore, the teachers come to us like cats and dogs. Mr Mui likes to catch me daydreaming. I remember once, I was staring out of the window. looking at trees, clouds and stuffs. Everyone around me stared laughing and it made me wonder why. Turning around, I saw Mr Mui with his screen projector pointing at me. Making an imaging of me daydreaming on the class projection screen. It was funny, but the scolding part which follows after spoiled it. I still talk to Joanne back from primary three. She sits next to me, in the back left side of the class. and with our portable whiteboard + marker, she would write a list of boys she likes. I always get them all right. Until one day, there was an additional name. I guessed with all I could but never got it right. In the end. She told me the the last name is my name. being just a 10 years old kid. I didnt know what to say. She didnt seem to want to progress furthur from that point anyway. So I just let it be and we remained as friends.

Primary four was also my streaming year. With all those rebellious acts, its was obvious I got streaming into an average class. That year. My sister graduated from primary school with a PSLE score of 233. Her best friend got 236. Mum would like to compare her with her bestfriend. asking why she is not smart enough to score higher. I was afraid the same would happen to me, since my sister's best friend had a younger sister, called Xin Ping, and she is at my age.

Primary 5, I was streamed into P5D. (A) was the worse class, (I) was the best. I kept telling myself I should study. But games are all I ever got involved with. P5 P6 is spent with Guo Xiang, Kengpon, Wee keat and Tun Jun. Glenn was no more, Joanne was in my class, but we dont talk much anymore. Guo xiang was in love with Yu lin, which we liked to bully our way to become friends. Together with Yu lin was Shi Rui, Yan Juan and Joey. All these are famaliar names to people who would actually go through my facebook friends list. Yes, I am still in contact with them. Guo Xiang was my closest friend. He would call me his brother of the opposite. That is because I was the top in class and he was at the bottom. He was good at gaming and Im not as good. Did I mention gaming? Yes. That was when I started playing Maple EAST. The very first version of Maplestory. Tun Jun was my favourite target. We would always bully him for his way of behaving. Kengpon and Wee keat are the mature ones. two years passed. And PSLE came. I played maplestory through the whole of it and surprisingly, I got a score of 226. It made me the only student in my class that is streamed into "express". The funny thing was. I defeating Xin Ping, she scored 207.

P6D BBQ was our last time together. I remember playing with everyone water bombs. Drinking bubble tea and using the straw to spit out the bubbles. It was a perfect target practise. At night, when everyone is asleep, I stood up with Jacky and Joey (Jacky was a classmate). Jacky and I somehow made Joey cried twice. in one night. Maybe we were being mean to her, maybe we were playing. I dont recall ehhh. But I do know we had a improved friendship after that, and I had a fever for staying up the whole night.

Everyone went to a neighborhood secondary school. I went into Hai Sing Catholic School.
First few days of orientation are fun, my first ever friend in Hai Sing is Gordon. We take the MRT home together in the first few weeks, talking about our primary schools and how fat he used to be. I remember Kai Ping finding me weird when she asked me why my face is always so red and I told her its because I eat too much apples.

First ever camp in secondary school made someone hate me. His name is Wei Yan, charismatic guy and popular. I dont really remember why he disliked me but it made my first camp feel like hell. Friends around me that time was Eric and Edwin. I take bus 17 to school with Eric every morning, and occasionally after school. Xin Yan was a teacher-in-training we had in our school library. We like to visit her at times because we would get access to the school internet without restrictions. Soon after, Xin Yan had to leave to study in a University in New Zealand.

Prefects was the leadership role I took up in secondary one. But I shall not talk about this.
clues and relations? "Lucifer with a different fall"

Secondary two was mostly about outings and stuff. Not to mention, it also was the first time I got into a relationship. But there are things that I shouldnt be talking about in a public blog. So its a skip for this. I could say it was a process that I learned to like and regret. Many things have been taught to me through experience and it somehow contributed to the making of who I am now. As I was saying, outings. Eric, Renee, Wei Yan (yes, we accepted our differences) ,Ediwn, Yu Cheng, Kimberly, Jin Yang, Jason and a lot more, we like to visit the Beach nearby, oh, did I not mention? Hai Sing Catholic School was near Pasir Ris beach, which is(obviously) a beach :)

Church was a place where I got closer to when I was in a relationship. But things change alot.
When I was with Joelle, I always have a feeling people in church disliked me. Maybe they think I was there only to accompany my girlfriend. I do admit, that was my only intention initially, but things changed. Its almost unexplainable. I remember my first time there, when Paster Joyce said "Lets bow our heads in prayer" and everyone started praying in tongue. Everything felt so weird and I got afraid, like, SERIOUSLY :S

But yes, things got better. Secondary three, after my relationship with Joelle ended, I still attend church on my own. I met alot of wonderful people in church and church camp. Vera, Christabel, Joy, Cavell, Teng Hua, Ryan.... too much to count. They made me feel so loved and cared, I consider them my family. Morever, stressful family life in Singapore was a contributing factor.

I wasn't as close to Eric anymore. I guess it was partly my fault, I admit I neglected my friends due to the relationship I was in. Relationships over friends. Soooo yeah...
Sec three was with Seetoh, JK, marv, Jian, Fishy, piggie, Edwin, Zhe Rui, Jason and more. Seetoh, Marv, Zhe Rui and I were Maximum tune 3 maniacs, until we got sick of it. JK, ZheRui and me, together with Dominic and Ye min formed a band and we played how to save a life by The Fray. I was on the bass :D Fishy and Piggie learned abit of Guitar from me. But Piggie is more of church activities and Fishy was more of text message disturber :D We like to hang out after school for lunch in Mcdonalds or the new food court. Occasionally, we would be in Jason's house. Playing PS2, PC games and stuff. Life was almost as if its complete to me. Everything was so perfect (except for studies). then came the news of a plan my parents has been making for more than two years, which they never talked much about. What plan? Migration to Australia.

Story in Australia shall not be written just yet.
Since the chapter has not ended. But Im pretty sure its gonna be a very interesting one. Funny how that contradicts with the boring life Im experiencing :S

Note that there are something missing

-Primary 5 Perth trip skipped
