had an english essay to write today
went pretty well

thanks to amanda^^
she cleared my doubt just 3 minutes before the test^^

Boss's sister came to help out

was quite satisfied with myself^^
only thing i went wrong is

-forgot to take out rice for worker takeaways before keeping them for storage

has been happening in succession for 2 weeks already

Business was bad on wednesday
so i had the time to draw =D

was very busy on Thursday
almost no time to rest

and discussed about it in class
have an impression of what it might be about already...

and started doing Q11 of A Math

amanda said its hard
so I decided to only do that question

and since according to my sources
only Jessie and I managed to solve it...

heres my solutions

Im just showing my solution and inacurate answer
I round them off too much, so the answer differ by one degree

the question says find the shortest route right?

now Ive made the "imaginary" blue line, AC, to separate the diagram
to find AC

simply

AC^2
= 80^2 + 100^2 - 2 x 80 x 100 x cos 50
= something

AC
= Root of something
= 78.2m

now we know angle AB is 30
and if we imagine a horizontal parallel line across B
we can use the Z rule
thus 50 degrees in B is the addition of the mini angle on top and 30 degrees
thus the mini angle, BC, is 20 degrees

now we use all sides of triangle ABC to get the angle on top
(angle BCA)


Angle BCA
= cos^-1 [(78.2^3 + 100^2) - 80^2] / 2 x 78.2 x 100
=51.598 degrees

therefore
with angle BCA, BC and CD
we can find angle ACD

Angle ACD
= 180 - 20 - 60 - 51.598
= 48.402 degrees


Since CD is 60 degrees
we can use the Z rule and say angle DCA is 60 degrees too

thus with angle DCA and CDA

we can find angle CAD

Angle CAD
= 180 - 48.402 - 60
= 71.598 degrees

Using the Sin Rule
We can thus find CD

78.2 / sin 60 = CD / Sin 71.598
78.2 sin 71.598 / sin 60 = CD

therefore
CD = 85.68m

with all the distances found
we can move on to vectors section

divide the journey into three parts...
AB, BC and CD

Speed of

AB

6/ sin 150 = 2 / sin @

@ = 9.59 degrees

180 - 150 - 9.59 = 20.41 degrees

6 sin 20.41 / sin 150 = 4.18 m/s

speed for AB
4.18m/s

BC

6 / sin 20 = 2 / sin @

@ = 6.55 degrees

180 - 20 - 6.55 = 153.45degrees

6 sin 153.45 / sin 20 = BC

therefore
speed of BC
= 7.84m/s

CD

6 / sin 60 = 2 / sin @

@ = 16.1677865 degrees

180 - 60 - 16.1677865 = 103.22

6 sin 103.22 / sin 60 = CD

therefore
speed of CD = 6.745 m/s

now will all distance and speed
we can find the time! =D

Shortest time =

distance of AB, BC and CD divided by speed of AB, BC, and CD respectively

therefore

(80 / 4.18) + (100 / 7.84) + (85.68 / 6.745)
= 44.5966

Answer is suppose to be 46 seconds
but yea
i round off abit too much
